Hope anchors the soul.
Christopher Reeve said, “Once you choose hope, anything is possible.” As a mom of a differently-abled child, these words have gotten me through many days while on this journey. My prayer for other special parents is that they will know that they do have a choice—to choose to look at their child’s strengths, not weaknesses—to focus on their can’s, not their can’ts. They have the ability to choose to see hope in the smallest accomplishments and on the hardest days. I feel that one of the reasons I was chosen by God to parent my Olivia was to let other parents know that they have the ability to choose hope and they will survive this journey.
